Detective film | 2017 | Poland | Polish

Fishermen fish a massacred body out of the Oder River. The horrifying discovery is publicized by the media and hits all news outlets in the country. The victim turns out to be architect Mariusz Roszewski, but the culprits of the crime are not found and the case - due to lack of evidence - ends up in the police "X-Files". Four years later, an anonymous denunciation links Roszewski's murder to the plot of the novel "Amok" by Krystian Bala (Mateusz Kościukiewicz). The authenticity of the reports decides to investigate Inspector Jacek Sokolski (Lukasz Simlat), an inquisitive officer with a dark past. The policeman quickly discovers similarities between the murder and the crime described in the book.
